Nekema merges with InsurePoint.com; MetLife Investors purchases Web version of Insurance Technologies' ForeSight Enterprise solution; opportunities in the bancassurance field will be key focus for Sherwood International.

B2B property and casualty e-commerce platform provider Nekema has merged with business insurance Web site InsurePoint.com to "offer our customers the broadest solution set available," says John Rhodes, CEO of the combined company, located in Jersey City, NJ.

MetLife Investors (MLI, Newport Beach, CA) has purchased the Web version of point-of-sale management software provider Insurance Technologies' (Colorado Springs) ForeSight Enterprise solution to illustrate its unbundled variable annuity products and to support new business products.

Opportunities in the bancassurance field will be a key focus for Sherwood International over the coming year, CEO Mike Shinya told attendees at the company's fifth annual conference, held recently at the Merchant Taylor's Hall in London.
