Desjardins Mobile Services Include Auto Quoting

Lvis, Quebec-based financial services company Desjardins is launching mobile access for a variety of its services.

Member and client users of Desjardins mobile services will be able to access several new functions, requesting quotes for auto insurance, including checking their account balance, making transfers between accounts or between individuals and paying bills.

Desjardins' General Insurance division already allows users to request tenant insurance quotes via mobile.

"With new technology always coming out and the growing popularity of mobile devices, consumption of financial products and services is changing radically," Normand Desautels, SVP and GM of personal services for Desjardins Group, says in a statement. "With this in mind, Desjardins has designed a simple, secure mobile solution to meet the ever-growing needs of its members and clients."
