Enabling Business Strategies

Enterprise-based standards aren't just about technology; they are key to enabling an insurer's overall businessstrategy, as well. Insights into how this works at leading companies will be provided at the Insurance Standards Leadership Forum, "Business Strategies for Industry Transformation," taking place September 18, 2002, at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City.

Co-produced by ACORD and Insurance & Technology, the Insurance Standards Leadership Forum is a one-day educational/networking event focused on real-world solutions, best practices and successful implementation of industry standards.

Among the industry-leading speakers are MetLife's Charles Dietz, director, enterprise technology, and Royal & SunAlliance's CIO James Williams, who will discuss Enabling Business Strategy with Enterprise-Based Standards, and how it works at their firms. Reality Check: What It Takes To Achieve Standards Success is the theme of the presentation by Matthew Josefowicz, senior analyst, Celent Communications. Collaboration within the Industry To Ensure Success will be addressed by Chris Milton, VP, AIG Reinsurance Division, and Daniel Schutzer, VP, Citigroup Inc.

A debate on the hot topic of Web services will bring together top executives from some of the leading technology players in this area: Kevin Kelly, managing director, financial services, Microsoft; Jim Del Rossi, chief strategist, eSolutions, Sun Professional Services (Sun Microsystems); and Rick Hoehne, program manager, eInfrastructure, global financial services sector, IBM. Wrapping up the conference, ACORD's CEO, Gregory A. Maciag, along with vice presidents Ron Dudley and Denise Garth, will offer insights into Where Do We Go From Here?

Sponsors of the Insurance Standards Leadership Forum include Blaze Advisor from HNC, CSC, FireStar Software, G.A. Sullivan, InSystems, Microsoft, SAP, Sherwood International and Sun Microsystems.
