Murray AXA CIO

Kevin Murray was named CIO of New York-based AXA Financial, replacing Bill Levine, who retired. Murray joined AXA last year as SVP and head of the carrier's application continuity team.

NLG Names CIO

The National Life Group (Montpelier, Vt.) named Joel Conrad chief information officer. Conrad joins NLG from MetLife, where he managed teams that supported the carrier's small employee group business as a vice president of IT.

Popolano to Take Reins at AIGT

AIG's (New York) CIO, Mark Popolano, will assume executive leadership for AIG Technologies (Livingston, N.J.). Popolano will retain his CIO duties. He succeeds Larry English, SVP, administration, who is retiring.

Marsh Names Compliance Exec

Marsh & McLennan Companies (New York) named E. Scott Gilbert SVP and chief compliance officer, a newly created position at the firm. Gilbert joins Marsh from GE (Fairfield, Conn.), where he was chief compliance counsel.

Tripathi Heads Harleysville IT

Harleysville Group (Harleysville, Pa.) appointed Akhil Tripathi as senior vice president and chief information officer. Tripathi was most recently managing director and CIO of Marsh Affinity and Private Client Services, a division of Marsh & McLennan.
