Kemper, Keyosk Serve NAWBO
Women business owners represent a growing market segment, which Long Grove IL-based Kemper Insurance ($9.4 billion in assets) and Web-based financial services provider Financial Keyosk (Carpentersville, IL) have teamed up to serve. Working with the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO, Vienna, VA), Kemper designed a home business extender policytailored to the home business owner for whom qualifying for a commercial policy can be difficult and costlythat can be purchased to complement homeowners' policies from any carrier.
Kemper turned to Financial Keyosk to create a service that enables NAWBO members to qualify and pay for the policy through the organization's Web site. "We delivered a simplified Web-enabled application process so that a customer could go to the site and click over seven questions to qualify for coverage," says Ken Jones, COO, Financial Keyosk. "It's the first Web-enabled product designed to be 'no-touch.'"
Ellen Epstein, marketing director, Kemper, says, "you can literally get throughthe application process in minutes. Because of the way it's designed, it's a relatively affordable product, at a flat rate of $175 per year," she says.
