Mayfare Taps Former Conn. Life CIO Lanzoni
In his new role at Mayfare Software Solutions Corp. (Hoboken, NJ) William "Bill" Lanzoni, most recently CIO atConnecticut Life and Casualty, looks forward to helping clients align business and IT objectives towards the same goal.
"Throughout my entire career," which includes senior management positions at Union Mutual of Vermont and NLC Insurance Co., "I have been managing change from a business perspective and helping to understand where the IT needs are," Lanzoni says. "I bring that strength to Mayfare as an additional resource to our customers."
Mayfare, primarily a property and casualty software provider, is looking to expand its services to its customers. "My primary role is to help develop a new service for Mayfare customers and to make available business consulting services," he says. "Mayfare has a solid policy administration product and has high-quality people on staff."
He adds, "I will be an additional resource tool for CIOs and other IT managers who may be wrestling with cutting costs while at the same time looking to improve customer service."
Rather than focusing on one IT operation, as he did as CIO of an insurer, Lanzoni looks forward to working with a variety of clients. "Instead of dealing with just internal customers at one company, I'll be dealing with perspectives from many customers," he says. "The ability to gain the knowledge of their needs is better that way. By leveraging that, I trust I'll be able to provide quality service back to the customers with a greater depth of understanding."
