SunGard (Wayne, Pa.) launched a new analytics module for its iWorks EIM incentive compensation, sales and distribution solution, based on Microsoft Corp.'s (Redmond, Wash.) business intelligent platform. iWorks EIM Analytics provides configurable key performance indicators (KPIs) and interactive BI dashboards to help insurers manage their distribution channels. "SunGard's iWorks EIM Analytics helps insurance companies configure and monitor their key performance indicators with dashboards to monitor and analyze their data and adjust compensation models accordingly," said Greg Webber, president of SunGard's insurance business, in a statement.
The Microsoft BI platform includes Microsoft Office SharePoint Server for group and organization-wide BI, Microsoft Office Excel and other Office applications for individual BI. Microsoft SQL Server provides the data management and analysis platform. SunGard and Microsoft have also recently released a high-performance computing (HPC)-enabled modeling environment for actuaries in SunGard's iWorks Prophet enterprise.
