Chubb Opens Online Forum on Risk
Warren, N.J.-based Chubb Group of Insurance Companies has launched Risk Conversation, an online forum with loss prevention information, blogs and risk assessment tools.
The goal is to use a social medium to expose policyholders to information about risk, the company says.
"Risk is a part of our everyday lives at home and at work, and we intend to build an online community that helps people protect their loved ones and their livelihoods," says Mark Schussel, VP and PR manager for Chubb, in a statement. "Whether they are in the path of a hurricane or wildfire, planning to travel to an exotic location or engaging in e-commerce, Risk Conversation aims to help keep families and business people out of harm's way. It is intended to be a go-to destination for consumers, business owners, legal and financial advisers, and other risk and insurance professionals who are seeking loss prevention and insurance guidance on a broad array of property and liability exposures."
The site includes:
- Risk assessors that help users identify potential loss exposures and test their risk management know-how;
- Blogs that provide risk management insights, observations and tips from Chubb's underwriting and residential and commercial loss prevention specialists, as well as from other risk management professionals who join the conversations;
- Polls that gauge the public sentiment on timely risk issues
- News commentary and analysis of current events that impact the risk management landscape.
