Cigna has planned to incorporate content, experience and engines for clinical insights. S Health collects health information from the smartphone and personal health devices, like a blood pressure monitoring machine, through Bluetooth. The information is shown on a mobile dashboard. The application was initially developed to deliver health-related tips and connect individuals to caregivers.
The content from Cigna will be incorporated into Samsung Galaxy note 3 in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Italy and Spain in Oct. 2013. Additional functions and features will be developed over the next year.
