Colonial Life Benefits Launches Personalized Interactive Benefits Education Tool
Colonial Life Benefits, a division of Columbia, S.C.-based Colonial Life, has launched Youville, a web-based Benefits Learning Center that personalizes a virtual world for purposes of educating employees about their benefits.
The interactive online tool offers what Colonial Life Benefits characterizes as an entertaining way for workers to individualize their benefits education and explore their unique benefits needs. After logging on at www.BenefitsLearningCenter.com, employees are invited to enter Youville, a "benefits world" named for them. The tool then asks a short series of questions about their age, marital status and family history, using the answers to create recommendations for types of insurance coverage to consider. Employees can print a summary of the recommendations, adjusting them and adding notes if needed, and bring the document to their workplace benefits enrollment session, according to a Colonial Life statement.
"The new Colonial Life Benefits Learning Center is an interactive, fun way for employees to learn more about their needs and their options to protect themselves and their families," comments Dana Bagwell, benefits communication and education, Colonial Life. "The tool is very simple to use and provides useful, practical knowledge to help them prepare for and make the most of their benefits enrollment."
The Benefits Learning Center includes information on different kinds of insurance coverage, what each type covers and what it may exclude. The center also offers information on financial protection, insurance terms, changing needs at different life stages, and how to save for retirement. In addition, employees can find answers to frequently asked benefits questions, according to Colonial Life.
