Colonial Life Taps Top Down Systems for Document Automation
Colonial Life & Accident Insurance (Columbia, S.C.; s subsidiary of Unum Group) has selected Top Down Systems' (Rockville, Md.) Client Letter as its document automation solution. The product will be used to enhance the insurer's customer correspondence processes, according to a Top Down news release.
"Customer service excellence has been a strength of our company for nearly 75 years, and we regularly review our customer service levels to make sure we remain an industry leader," comments Les Blackwell, systems analyst, Colonial Life. "We realized that we could be more efficient in our customer service correspondence. That's why we selected Client Letter to help us better automate correspondence for our claims, underwriting and account services areas and create greater efficiencies."
The vendor claims that with Client Letter, Colonial Life will save time and money on operational and information technology involvement, as well as eliminate document duplication. For example, Colonial Life expects to eliminate 70 percent of its pre-printed form enclosures, according to Top Down. In addition, Client Letter will help improve Colonial Life's already strong quality control capabilities as a result of Client Letter's conditional logic, variable editing and quality assurance features, Top Down claims.
"We've worked with Top Down Systems for many years, and its new automation software will help us make our customer service even better," Blackwell adds. "We researched several top document automation providers, and Top Down Systems was the clear choice."
