Lexington, Ky. • Lexmark introduced a new collection of multifunction printers, including the Lexmark X644e, X646dte, X850e, X852e and X854e. In addition to fax and color scanning functionality, the new printers feature enhanced hardware design, serviceability and output quality, as well as enterprise-level security options, such as disk wiping, encryption and single-sign-on user authentication.

Naperville, Ill. • Infogix has updated its ControlsAssure and ControlsInsight rules-based enterprise software products to streamline regulatory compliance, operational reporting and business process monitoring. The vendor has added a time and sequence controls module to ControlsAssure that monitors business processes to ensure accurate, timely information delivery. Enhancements to ControlsInsight include improved audit trails and more-flexible alert and reporting capabilities, according to Infogix.

Darmstadt, Germany • Software AG unveiled crossvision, a software suite designed to help insurers' IT departments leverage existing assets and create automated business processes by leveraging service- oriented architecture (SOA). The crossvision suite provides management and governance capabilities, as well as the ability to compose new business applications based on existing systems. It also enables legacy modernization, and drives the unification of business process management and SOA, the vendor says.

Costa Mesa, Calif. • Experian launched Collection Triggers, a collections solution that monitors portfolios and collections accounts. Collection Triggers works in conjunction with Experian's First One credit database to automatically notify insurers within 24 hours when there is a change to a client's account. The Web-based program also sets up debt portfolios for clients to monitor their own accounts.

Chester, Pa. • AdminServer released a version of its AdminServer Suite Web-based policy administration system for the Sun Solaris 10 operating system on SPARC. Features include a Java 2 Platform and an Enterprise Edition J2EE version of the AdminServer System.

Santa Clara, Calif. • Clearwell Systems released the Clearwell Email Intelligence Platform, which discovers, organizes and uses algorithms to analyze all information in corporate e-mail systems. The automated software helps insurers lower operational costs and reduce corporate risk by identifying violations of regulatory or corporate policies, Clearwell claims. The solution leverages e-mail archiving by creating personalized dashboards, communication flows, topics and e-mail-specific searches.

Irvine, Calif. • LogicalApps rolled out Active Governance, an integrated platform with embedded controls to enforce risk documentation, compliance operations and internal controls automation within enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications. The platform creates real-time executive dashboards and an audit trail of activity for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Blaze Advisor 6.1 integrates Rete III rules execution technology to optimize performance and process high-volume business rules efficiently, according to the vendor. Designed to accelerate IT batch processes and enhance enterprise decision management, Blaze Advisor 6.1 includes a centralized enterprise repository, update tools and best practices, as well as multiplatform and multilingual support. The software is compatible with Java, .NET and mainframe COBOL.
