Conseco Appoints Asset-Liability Management VP

Carmel, Ind.-based Conseco announced on Wednesday that has promoted Christopher J. Foote to the position of vice president, asset-liability management.

Foote will report to Tim Tongson, senior vice president of corporate and shared actuarial services. "Asset-liability management -- the practice of coordinating decisions related to assets and liabilities -- is vital to the success of our business," Tongson said in a press release. "Chris' promotion recognizes his leadership of this process, his strong actuarial background and his substantial experience working with our investment management unit."

Foote joined Conseco in 1999 and most recently served as senior managing actuary for asset-liability management. Before joining Conseco, the 51-year-old worked in various actuarial management positions at Great American Life, Union Central Life and Aetna Life & Casualty. He holds a B.S. degree in statistics from the University of Akron.
