Pacific Life Insurance Co. (Newport Beach, CA) has released its products on LifeLink Corp.'s (Park City, UT) WinFlex illustration system. WinFlex is a SEMCI (single entry, multiple carrier interface) solution that allows brokers and agents to access all of their carriers on one carrier and then run it for any other carrier for which they are approved. WinFlex is available in a desktop version and a Web version.
Mutual of Omaha affiliate Omaha Property and Casualty (OPAC, Omaha) released a new product called Flood Automated Policy Processing System (FloodAPPS), which will offer agents an automated process for obtaining flood zones, quoting policy rates, completing applications, electronically signing policies and then uploading the work online at www.mutualofomaha/flood.com, according to OPAC. Once complete, the transaction can be downloaded via IVANS to approved agency management systems.
Kansas City-based Thazar Solutions introduced Reportal, a new management information reporting system that provides insurance companies with the ability to generate, view, distribute, store and retrieve management reports electronically. Features include drill-down analysis, graphical charting and rapid creation of new reports. Reportal allows insurers with electronic access to operational data in order to make better decisions regarding pricing, underwriting and claims to improve profitability, according to Thazar.
The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies (Warren, NJ) has enhanced RMIS Dimensions, its Internet-based risk management information system. RMIS users, which include Chubb clients, agents and brokers, have automatically been given access to the new system. Enhancements include a browser-independent platform, allowing the user to access the RMIS from any computer with an Internet connection; more selection criteria and ad-hoc capabilities that allow users to create customized reports that better expand their analysis to uncover trends in claims activity; a data conversion service that allows users to use historical data from prior carriers; multiple user secure access; and push technology for regularly e-mailed reports, according to Chubb.
