High-Volume Web Platform
Duck Creek Technologies (Bolivar, Mo.) launched version 2.0 of its EXAMPLE Platform rating and policy administration software, with new features for managing security, integration and the high-volume transaction demands of Web-enabled commercial lines processing, according to the vendor.
Version 2.0 offers "improved security, performance and scalability for higher-volume carriers attempting to deliver Web-based commercial lines solutions to their organizations, agents and partners," asserts Doug Roller, Duck Creek's CEO.
Due for release this summer, the EXAMPLE Platform already has been implemented at The Concord Group Insurance Companies ($180.9 million in 2004 sales), a Concord, N.H.-based carrier marketing auto, homeowners, umbrella liability and business owners' insurance. "This new version [of EXAMPLE] is beyond our expectations," says Mike Copozza, VP, information systems, Concord Group. The carrier plans to migrate several additional products from a legacy environment to the EXAMPLE Platform, according to Copozza.
