BCBSMN Selects Client Letter
In an effort to communicate more effectively with its policyholders, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota (BCBSMN, Minneapolis) has selected Top Down Systems' (Rockville, MD) Client Letter, a text- and letter-generation tool. Client Letter automates the production, storage and archiving of business correspondences and merges business rules and text with customer database information.
"Client Letter allows BCBSMN to more effectively communicate information to customers in a more personal and cost-effective manner," says Deb Eilts, director, document management services, BCBSMN. "That is because we have full access to any and all internal information about clients and dependants."
BCBSMN, which looked at both mainframe and client/ server-based solutions, decided on client/server-based Client Letter after individual business units within BCBSMN expressed interest in having control of information, according to Eilts. "Client Letter provides a high degree of security and flexibility and still met all of the scalable and inter-operational functioning that we were looking for."
BCBSMN rolled out this solution to one-third of its employees this month.
