CRM spending will grow to $10.4 billion, according to a report from eMarketer; Onyx Software adds Onyx e-Service to its CRM portal suite; ServiceEngine and Sonata will partner to add mobile sales and service components to ServiceEngine's customer management software.

CRM spending will grow to $10.4 billion by the end of this year—a 167 percent increase from the $3.9 billion spent in 2000, according to a new CRM report from eMarketer (New York).

Onyx Software Corp. (Bellevue, WA) has added Onyx e-Service, which includes assisted email response, chat, and Web self-service products, to Onyx Enterprise 2001, Onyx's thin-client CRM portal suite.

ServiceEngine Inc. (Shelton, CT), and Sonata, Inc. (New York), will partner to add mobile sales and service components to ServiceEngine's customer management software using the Sonata mobile data platform.
