J.D. Edwards & Co. (Denver), a provider of B2B software services, has completed its acquisition of YOUcentric Inc. (Charlotte, NC), a developer of Java-based CRM software. "J.D. Edwards' completion of the YOUcentric acquisition rounds out our collaborative commerce CRM offering," according to C. Edward McVaney, chairman, president and CEO.
Siebel Systems (San Mateo, CA) has shipped Siebel 7, the seventh release of Siebel's e-business applications for CRM and employee relationship management. Siebel 7 is available with 20 industry-specific versions. It also introduces the Siebel Smart Web Architecture, which the vendor says is the industry's first and only zero-footprint Web architecture.
Capital One Financial Corp. (Falls Church, VA) has signed a three-year contract with Minacs Worldwide Inc. (Markham, ON) to provide CRM services for Capital One's Canadian operations. Minacs will provide a contact center operation to handle inbound and outbound customer communications as well as e-mail responses.
