IBM Markets Chordiant 5

In response to the need for enterprise-wide policyholder views within the insurance industry, Chordiant and IBM have formed an alliance that will combine IBM infrastructure with an application suite from Chordiant.

In response to the need for enterprise-wide policyholder views within the insurance industry, Chordiant (Cupertino, CA) and IBM (Armonk, NY) have formed an alliance that will combine IBM infrastructure with an application suite from Chordiant. The two companies will jointly market Chordiant 5 software.

"Customers are looking for the ability to use this sort of solution to provide an enterprise-wide, real-time single customer view," says Paul Burrin, senior vice president, worldwide marketing, Chordiant. The new offeringcombines business processes, customer profiles and policy specifications.

According to William N. Pieroni, general manager, IBM Global Insurance Industry, Chordiant 5 will enable carriers to take advantage of cross-selling opportunities by providing insurers with a view of what products policyholders are using now and might need in the future.

This recent alliance builds upon an existing relationship between the two companies. "Chordiant has worked with IBM's MQSeries and AIX, so we have a long history of making sure that we are integrated with a true-blue stack," says Burrin.
