New Genworth Divisional CTO to Drive Customer Experience Innovation
Genworth Financial Wealth Management (GFWM), a subsidiary of Genworth Financial (Richmond, Va.) has hired former Bank of the West (San Francisco) EVP and CTO James Hanna as Chief Technology Officer and member of Genworth's senior leadership team.
In his new role at GFWM, Hanna will support the firm's continuing efforts to deliver innovative solutions and functionality that help advisors and their clients, according to a Genworth statement. Hanna reports to Carrie Hansen, SVP, Chief Operations Officer and President, Mutual Funds for Genworth Wealth Management.
"Technology is such an important foundation for everything we do to help advisors build great businesses and serve their clients," says Gurinder Ahluwalia, president and CEO, GFWM. "The CTO role is critical for us so we can assure continuous momentum in technology innovation."
Hanna was executive VP and CTO at Bank of the West since 2005. Prior to that role, he held positions at Fidelity Information Services (Jacksonville, Fla.) and Alltel Information Services (Irving, Texas). He holds a BS in Business Administration, Information Systems from The Ohio State University.
