London--Trema, a provider of strategic software solutions for the financial services industry, launched Trema Finance KIT 6.0, which provides new functionality for the global asset management industry. Trema's solution is built on a multi-tiered architecture and incorporates API and "plug-and-use" interfaces that enable users to interface with external and internal production and distribution systems. Specific new functionality in Trema Finance KIT 6.0 will enable asset managers to more accurately control, monitor and attribute the performance of their portfolios, according to Trema.
Claims Management CCC Information Services
Chicago--CCC Information Services Inc. has released version 2.1 of CCC Autoverse Claim Management-a Web-based claims application enabling insurers, independent appraisers and collision repair facilities to exchange auto-physical damage claims information using established computer estimating systems that support the Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association EMS standard for open technology, the vendor reports. CCC Autoverse Claim Management 2.1 can integrate with multiple estimating systems, permitting free-flow communication between those who write damage estimates, and insurance companies that process claims.
Wireless Solutions Broadbeam Corp.
Cranbury, NJ--Mobile Solutions System (MSS) has been released by Broadbeam Corp., a provider of mobile solutions for enterprise customers. MSS has an extensible architecture with the capability to support both Java and Microsoft and major wireless networks, including wireless local area networks and devices. A key component of MSS, claims Broadbeam, is its Mobile Development Environment, which generates code automatically to the server and client via graphical user interfaces in both Java and Microsoft environments.
Austin, TX--Computer Sciences Corp. is offering two new services-PATRIOT Protector andCompliance Assessment-for use toward compliance with US counterterrorism regulations. CSC's PATRIOT Protector is an application-hosted Web service that matches identities against the OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) list. Additionally, CSC conducts Compliance Assessments specific to life and annuity insurers and property and casualty insurers. A Compliance Assessment gives insurers an external view of its risk factors and preparedness for counterterrorism compliance. The assessment for life and annuities insurers includes review of AML and DAR requirements, as well as those from OFAC.
Instant Messaging Facetime
Foster City, Ca--IM Auditor Enterprise, a tool that enables the central management and control of instant messaging among employees, partners and customers without requiring a change to the existing messenger client or IM network communications, has been released by FaceTime. The product integrates corporate directories such as Microsoft Active Directory, Sun ONE Directory and Lotus Domino. This facilitates automated mapping of IM buddy names to authenticated employee IDs, which, according to FaceTime, reduces the risk of anonymous communications and transfer of confidential information.
Call Center Voicelogger, Inc.
Enid, OK--VoiceLogger, Inc., introduced digivoiceXE. The product is Windows-based and works in a Web-based interface and integrates with telephones and radios. DigivoiceXE consists of a File Server and a Recording Server, supported by a software suite. The remote access design of the product, claims VoiceLogger, offers a mobile workforce convenience by placing call information at its fingertips through a Web-browser.
