Sioux Falls, SDA cross-platform version of SolCom's knowledge management product suite is available to the insurance industry. SolCom will now use a Java Virtual Machine to allow compatibility with AIX, Unix, Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, OS/400 and Windows 2000 server operating systems, the company says. SolCom also has added an object import and export utility to support interoperability and distributed business processing.

SEATTLETamarac Inc. has released Portfolio Manager, a Web-based portfolio management tool that, according to the vendor, enables investment professionals to provide personalized, tax-efficient portfolios. Portfolio Manager is an ASP-based solution that incorporates quantitative analysis and a proprietary optimizer, Tamarac says.
