David Wheat Named Hannover Re CFO

Hannover Life Reassurance Company of America (Orlando, Fla.; a subsidiary of Hannover Re group) has named David Wheat executive vice president and chief financial officer. Wheat will head the company's finance, corporate actuarial, treasury, risk management, and controller functions.

"We are excited to have David join the Hannover Life Re team," comments Pete Schaefer, president and chief executive officer of Hannover Life Re. "His knowledge and experience will greatly enhance our ability to fulfil our mission by adding value for our customers and the Hannover Re group."

Wheat was most recently chief financial officer of ING Americas, before which he was a partner in Ernst & Young's insurance practice. He is a certified public accountant, FLMI and a graduate of the University of Louisville.
