Delta Dental of Michigan Names New CIO

Michael Anselmo, who as CIO led a comprehensive technology transformation at Narragansett Bay Insurance Company that helped the firm accelerate its growth strategy, has left the P&C insurer to join Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana as senior vice president and chief information officer.

Anselmo, a 2011 Insurance & Technology Elite 8 honoree, joined Narragansett Bay in 2009. Based in Okemos, Mich., he will be responsible for IT for Delta Dental's operations in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, New Mexico, North Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky, as well as the insurer's Renaissance for-profit operation.

This is Anselmo's first assignment in the health insurance segment. In addition to property/casualty insurance and reinsurance, he also has worked in the capital markets and technology businesses.
