Don Desiderato Joins Novarica

Former Prudential and ING divisional CIO has focused on transformational initiatives within the life/annuity industry throughout his 25-year career.

Don Desiderato has joined Novarica (New York) as a principal within the research and advisory firm's insurance practice. Desiderato's career has included divisional CIO roles at Prudential and ING, as well as various IT leadership positions at Travelers/Citigroup.

Desiderato's expertise includes core systems strategy, distribution systems, variable and blended staffing models and IT management and planning within the life/annuity industry. Desiderato has focused on transformational leadership at life/annuity companies throughout his 25-year career, according to a Novarica press release.

Desiderato will represent Novarica at the LOMA Retirement conference on straight-through processing for annuities in April, and with Novarica practice director Matthew Josefowitz at the 2010 Life Conference on Improving Time-to-Market for Life/Annuity products.

Novarica has also announced the hiring of Thuy Nguyen as an analyst. A recent graduate of Brandeis University's international MBA program, Nguyen's experience includes several research and financial analyst positions.
