Esurance Migrates to Kaplan’s CMS G2
Esurance, a San Francisco-based direct auto insurer, has announced that it will use Kaplan Compliance Solutions' (KCS) Compliance Management System Generation 2
(CMS G2) software to reduce both paperwork and compliance risk. The CMS G2 solution's Database Module (DBM), a centralized database to manage securities and insurance compliance data, will house Esurance's licensing data. DBM offers the ability to view, track and manage data for carriers, firms, branches and registered individual representatives and producers, according to a press release. Esurance will also use the module to manage the electronic submission of appointments and appointment terminations to the Departments of Insurance for processing.
"CMS G2 is a powerful tool for Esurance's licensing department. Now we can quickly and reliably manage the licensing and appointments of our producers," Kim Zanola, Licensing Supervisor at Esurance, said in the release.
In early 2010, KCS says that Esurance expects to equip its agents with read-only access to the database. The carrier also plans to utilize CMS G2 National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) alerts to automatically update portions of its database, eliminating most manual verification of license effective dates.
