IT GURU AT SELECTIVE

Selective Insurance Group (Branchville, NJ) named Dr. John F. Rockhart to the company's board of directors. Rockhart is a senior lecturer of information technology at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he served as director of the Center for Information Systems Research for 25 years.

R&SA NAMES PUGLIESE

Vince Pugliese has been named president and chief operating officer for the commercial insurance division of Royal & SunAlliance, USA (Charlotte, NC). He most recently served as an executive vice president for the division.

METLIFE TAPS CAWLEY

As of part of an organizational restructuring at MetLife (New York), senior vice president Chris Cawley has been given responsibility for the Customer Response Center, remittance processing and reengineering, focusing on customer service delivery.

ALPHA APPOINTMENT

Steven Landberg has been appointed managing director of New York-based Alpha Financial Services Consulting. Landberg will lead the firm's insurance business, focusing on producer management, customer interaction management, innovation and initiative management solutions.

Robin Raina has been named chairman of the board of Atlanta-based ebix.com Inc., in addition to his present responsibilities as president and CEO of the company.
