Thomas D. Chase has been promoted to CIO of American Physicians Capital, Inc. (East Lansing, MI). Chase joined the company in August 2002 as CIO and vice president of business technology for workers' compensation operations.

ACORD APPOINTMENTS

John Leonard, president and CEO of Maine Employers' Mutual (Portland), was appointed chairman of ACORD's (Pearl River, NY) Global Standards Committee, and Chris Milton, vice president of AIG's (New York) reinsurance division, has been named a new member to the ACORD committee.

AIGT EXECS NAMED

AIG Technologies (AIGT, Livingston, NJ) named Sergio Oyola as vice president of customer services. Rick Laabs has been appointed vice president, product management.

KOESTER JOINS PMI

PMI Mortgage Insurance Co. (Walnut Creek, CA) named Reinhard Koester group senior vice president and chief corporate risk officer.

At Philadelphia-based Independence Blue Cross, Karen Lessin was promoted to vice president of audit and compliance and Edward Litchko, was appointed senior director of corporate and financial investigation. Also, Bernadette Billetta was promoted to director of quality management and Royal E. Brown was named vice president of treasury services.
