Russ Bostick has joined Conseco (Carmel, Ind.) as executive vice president and CIO. Bostick most recently was CIO of Elgin, Ill.-based Chase Insurance.

HFP Claims VP

The Hartford Financial Services Group (Hartford) appointed David De Berry VP and head of claims for its Hartford Financial Products (New York) unit. De Berry previously held the position of VP of HFP's financial services claims unit.

subsidiary Citizens and Hanover Insurance named Douglas H. McDonough regional president of its emerging Mid Atlantic region. McDonough will manage all aspects of sales and distribution for the company's commercial and personal lines operations in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Pennsylvania.

Penn Treaty American Corp. (Allentown, Pa.) named Stephen R. LaPierre senior vice president, claims management and policyholder services. LaPierre most recently served as president of LaPierre & Associates.

Johnston Joins Siebel Systems

Chuck Johnston has joined Siebel Systems (San Mateo, Calif.) as director of compensation management. Johnston had been director of insurance industry marketing for Callidus Software (San Jose, Calif.).
