SPINELLA NAMED CFO

21st Century Insurance (Woodland Hills, CA) has appointed Mel Spinella senior vice president and CFO. Prior to joining 21st Century Insurance, Spinella was a partner in Deloitte & Touche, where he served as national insurance e-business leader.

FAIR ISAAC ROLES

San Rafael, CA-based Fair Isaac Corp. has announced two new appointments to its executive staff. Joel Portice has been named vice president of healthcare solutions, and Cy King has been appointed vice president of property and casualty predictive analytic solutions.

MCGOVERN JOINS BOARD

Gail J. McGovern, professor of marketing at the Harvard Business School and former president of Fidelity Personal Investments (Boston), joined the board of directors of The Hartford Financial Services Group (Hartford).

TOWERGROUP HIRE

Joe Herbkersman has joined TowerGroup's (Needham, MA) sales organization. Herbkersman has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry working for such companies as Southern Farm Bureau Insurance Co. and Aetna Life and Casualty.

SMITH JOINS INSYSTEMS

InSystems (Markham, ON) appointed Chris Smith as vice president, development. Smith has more than 20 years experience in enterprise software development. He will be responsible for spearheading new product development.
