•Countrywide COO
Countrywide Insurance Group, the insurance division of Countrywide Financial Corp. (Calabasas, Calif.), named Myron Hendry managing director and COO. Formerly tasked with overseeing the carrier's central operations, claims and technology, Hendry now will be responsible for ensuring that it has the necessary infrastructure, customer support and corporate governance to support growth.
• New Blue IT VPs
To strengthen business/IT alignment, Blue Shield of California (San Francisco) promoted former senior director of e-commerce and enterprise architecture Anurang Revri to VP of enterprise architecture and e-commerce solutions, and named David Arnold VP of applications. Before joining Blue Shield in 2006, Arnold was senior product executive for corporate IT with Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. (San Francisco).
• Horace Mann Ops
Horace Mann Educators Corp. (Springfield, Ill.) named former EVP of the P&C business Douglas W. Reynolds EVP, insurance operations. He will be responsible for life and annuity and client service operations.
• Haier NY Life CEO
Shanghai-based Haier New York Life Insurance Co., a joint venture between New York Life Insurance Co. (New York) and Haier Group (Qingdao, China), named Xiaoxia Zhao president and CEO. Zhao most recently was director of the board and EVP of AXA-Minmetal Assurance Co. (Guangzhou, China).
