INSPIRE PICKS CEO
Fort Worth-based INSpire Insurance Solutions has appointed Richard "Dic" Marxen as chief executive officer. Marxen was founder and chief executive officer of Connective Technologies and was also CEO of Wheatley Insurance Systems. He succeeds John F. Pergande, who will continue as chairman.

Casey "Smith" Syring has joined Newport Beach, CA-based MetLife Investors Distribution Company as regional vice president of the broker/dealer channel in eastern and southern Florida. Syring arrives at MetLife Investors from Planning Corporation of America.

Ross Orett has been promoted to president of Toronto-based InSystems. Orett was previously senior vice president, global relationship management.
MCINERNEY APPOINTED
ING's (Amsterdam) executive board has appointed Tom McInerney CEO of ING US Financial Services. McInerney was president of Hartford-based Aetna Financial Services, which ING acquired in 2000.
