Hartford Promotion

Elaine Martinelli of The Hartford (Hartford) has been promoted to president of the Hartford Technology Services Group, the company's internal consulting organization. Martinelli was most recently The Hartford's vice president, personal insurance, where she had responsibility for systems supporting call centers, policy administration, Internet sales for distribution channels and data warehousing initiatives.

Clements At Riskclick

Former XL Capital and Annuity and Life Re Ltd. director Robert Clements will join New York-based Riskclick's board of directors as a non-executive director.

Acord Appointments

ACORD (Pearl River, NY) named Carl Gaspar of Gaspar-Jones & Associates and Marilyn Norman, senior vice president, distribution management, Zurich US, chair and chair elect, respectively, for the 2002 ACORD board of directors.

Beckham Named CEO

J. Gordon Beckham, Jr., has been appointed president and CEO of McCamish Systems (Atlanta). Beckham succeeds Henry F. McCamish, Jr., as CEO and Jim Spencer as president.

Transamerica Appoints

Transamerica Worksite Marketing (Los Angeles) hired Phil McKelvey as VP of national alliances. Wayne Mertel is Transamerica's new VP in the Midwestern region. Transamerica also hired Ken Holderbaum as regional VP in Nevada. Deborah Tantro will return to Transamerica as regional VP in its western US region.
