ZURICH TAPS ENGEL

James Engel has been named executive vice president, customer services, Zurich North America (Schaumburg, IL).

JAMES CLIMBS AT CNA

Former executive vice president of CNA's (Chicago) technology & operations group, Robert V. James has been promoted to executive vice president of US Insurance Operations for CNA property & casualtyoperations. James' predecessor, James R. Lewis, will assume the role of president and CEO of CNA's P&C operations.

JONES CIO OF CBH

CIGNA Behavioral Health Inc. (Eden Prarie, MN) has named Michael Jones chief information officer. He will also be a member of the CBH executive leadership council, primary liaison on the joint technical leadership council of CBH and CIGNA HealthCare Systems, and a member of CIGNA's e-commerce practice steering committee.

NYL NAMES SIEVERT

Frederick J. Sievert has been appointed president of New York Life (NYL, New York). Sy Sternberg, who held the title, remains chairman and CEO. Sievert's positions at NYL include member of the executive management committee and chairman of the board of NYL Insurance Co. of Arizona.
