Executive moves and promotions in the insurance industry.

PACIFICARE NAMES EVP

PacifiCare Health Systems (Cypress, CA) appointed Sharon Garrett executive vice president, Enterprise Services. She will be responsible for the company's IT efforts and business processes, as well as claims processing and customer services.

AQS APPOINTS OSSMANN

AQS (Hartland, WI) appointed Peter Ossmann manager, implementation services. He will manage the newly created department and have responsibility for and authority over all aspects of implementing AQS's V3 Galileo for the vendor's clients.

SACCOCIA TO TOWERGRP.

Cynthia Saccocia, most recently of Cerulli Associates, joined TowerGroup as a senior analyst in its insurance practice. Saccocia will focus on expanding TowerGroup's research coverage of the life and annuity sectors of the insurance industry.

LITZGOW JOINS HANCOCK

John T. Litzgow was named senior vice president of John Hancock Advisers (Boston). Litzgow, former SVP/director of Investment Consulting Services at RBC Dain Rauscher, will lead a team of sales, marketing and operating associates in building the presence of John Hancock Advisers.

ZURICH HIRES PARAVICINI

Michael Paravicini joined Zurich Financial Services (Switzerland) as chief information technology officer. Previously CIO of Commerzbank, Paravicini assumes group-wide responsibility for IT and its applications.
