Schofield Heads Farmers Services

Farmers Insurance Group (Los Angeles) promoted Keitha T. Schofield from EVP of support services to president and COO of Farmers Services, a new support services entity that will include finance, audit, human resources, communications, procurement, real estate, Service Point/Service Centers and IT.

New WellPoint CEO

WellPoint (Indianapolis) named Angela F. Braly president and CEO, effective June 1, to replace Larry C. Glasscock, who is retiring. Braly has served as a WellPoint EVP with operational responsibilities since 2005.

CIGNA Names SVP

Brett Browchuk has joined CIGNA HealthCare (Bloomfield, Conn.) as SVP, service operations. Previously, Browchuk was a managing director at Putnam Investments (Boston).

Waters Leads White Mountains Re

Allan Waters was elected president and CEO of White Mountains Insurance Group's (Hamilton, Bermuda) reinsurance group, White Mountains Re Group. Waters, who has held management roles with White Mountains and served on its board, succeeds Tom Hutton, who remains as deputy chairman of the board.

New York Life Insurance Co. (New York) promoted former first VP of corporate development Russell Bundschuh to EVP and COO of its New York Life International division.
