Executive Shakeup Continues at CNO With Two Promotions

Chris McKee takes over as SVP of operations and Todd Coombes as SVP and CIO following unexpected resignation of newly named EVP of technology and operations John Wright.

Carmel, Ind.-based CNO, formerly Conseco, has promoted Chris McKee to SVP of operations and Todd Coombes to SVP and CIO. The last-minute moves follow the unexpected resignation of John Wright, the former Sun Life executive who had been named EVP of technology and operations last week. Wright told CEO Jim Prieur that due to unforeseen personal reasons, he couldn't relocate to the company's headquarters in Carmel.

"We are fortunate to have two strong leaders ready to step into these assignments," Prieur says in a statement.

The moves come after former EVP of technology and operations Russell Bostick left the company December 14.

Coombes, the company's CTO since 2007, joined CNO in 2005. McKee, who has been with the company since 1991, has held a variety of IT leadership roles, according to CNO.
