Farmers Looks to E-Readers for Agent Resources
Farmers Insurance, a Los Angeles-based P&C insurance group, has opened an e-reader portal with sales and training resources for its agents.
The company says that the portal is “accessible through the different e-readers currently available,” and that it “permits agents to access and download a number of resources to help its agents grow their business.”
Farmers’ goal was to make sure that its latest training modules were accessible through as many formats as possible, says Annette Thompson, SVP and chief learning officer for the company.
“Our aim is to leverage technological advances to make sure our agents receive the best training available and are able to enhance their skill sets year-round, via a number of different methodologies," Thompson says in a statement. "This new e-reader functionality enables Farmers to place valuable information at our agents' fingertips."
A special team in Farmers’ agency department helped develop the tool. Agents are already gaining comfort with it.
“The new e-reader system enables me to quickly and easily access the resources I need to better serve my customers,” says Farmers agent Michael Abdou, in a statement.
