Farmers’ Kelso Named Vice Chair Of IBHS

Kevin Kelso, executive vice president, Farmers Group, has been named vice chairman of the board for the Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS).

Farmers' (Los Angeles) executive vice president Kevin Kelso has been named vice chairman of the board for the Tampa, Fla.-based Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS), under a two year appointment effective January 1, 2008. Kelso will also chair the IBHS executive committee.

IBHS, a property loss reduction trade association, has a membership of over 200 P&C insurers and reinsurers. According to a press release, its mission is to reduce the social and economic effects of natural disasters and other property losses by conducting research and advocating improved construction, maintenance and preparation practices.

Kelso has served as executive vice president of Farmers Group since January 2007. He was previously president of Farmers personal insurance.
