Gary Plotkin Leaves OneBeacon CIO Post

The former Hartford P&C CIO declined to comment on his reasons for leaving but said he is exploring new opportunities.

Gary Plotkin has left his position as CIO of OneBeacon Insurance (Minnetonka, Minn.), a role he took on in early 2009. Plotkin personally confirmed to Insurance & Technology that he had left OneBeacon but declined to comment further, beyond saying that he is currently exploring new opportunities. OneBeacon did not answer requests for comment.

Prior to joining OneBeacon, Plotkin was CIO of The Hartford's property/casualty operations. An Accenture alumnus, Plotkin joined The Hartford as chief technology officer in 2005.
