Gearing Up for Growth
There is starting to be a sense in the industry that there's some kind of light ahead after so many months of darkness. Maybe not exactly the light at the end of the tunnel-no one seems to expect a return of the boom days of the '90s. But there's starting to be a (re)focus on positioning for an upturn, making strategic investments now that will enhance competitiveness. It's more critical than ever to stay ahead of the game, especially when it is so fast-moving.
It's no different at Insurance & Technology; our mission requires us to anticipate and stay ahead of trends in the financial and technology worlds. Accordingly, we are announcing the creation of the InformationWeek Media Network, an alignment of leading brands under InformationWeek, CMP Media's flagship publication. The InformationWeek Media network consists of two brands that cross industry lines-InformationWeek and Optimize-and five vertically focused publications: Insurance & Technology, Bank Systems & Technology, Wall Street & Technology, Government Enterprise, and the soon-to-be-launched Healthcare Enterprise.
This new network allows our organization to provide a wealth of resources and capabilities to I&T in key areas such as research, events and enhanced content. We have access to an expanded editorial brain trust, into which we will tap to help make I&T an even stronger resource of best practices and thought-leadership. "Even stronger" is the key concept here. Insurance & Technology, along with the other vertical publications in the InformationWeek Media Network, remains an independent brand focused specifically on the ways in which financial institutions are using technology to drive and support their businesses. It's all about you, the reader, and I look forward to a continued partnership with all of you.
