GEICO Brings GloveBox to BlackBerry
Chevy Chase, Md.-based P&C carrier GEICO has released a version of its GloveBox mobile application for Research In Motion's BlackBerry.
“The BlackBerry is a great addition since it is still one of the most used smartphones for business, offering an abundance of features and exceptional functionality,” Dave Weaver, manager of mobile applications for GEICO, says in a statement.
GloveBox allows GEICO policyholders to pay bills, access ID cards, record accident information, reach the carrier by phone, view videos and TV commercials and access the company's social media pages. It is also available for Apple's iOS, which powers the iPhone and iPad; Google's Android mobile OS; and as of last week, Microsoft's Windows Phone 7.
