GEICO Names New VP of Claims

Rick Hoagland has been named VP of the claims home office at Chevy Chase, Va.-based GEICO. He succeeds Nancy Pierce, who was recently named regional VP in GEICO’s Fredericksburg, Va. office.

“Rick has done a great job for the company in claims and underwriting,” GEICO VP Don Lyons says in a statement. “Rick’s breadth of experience will serve him and GEICO well as he takes on this new challenge.”

Hoagland has been with the company since 1994, starting as a telephone claims representative in GEICO’s Fredericksburg office. He last was AVP of underwriting in the company's Midwest regional operations in Macon, Ga.
