Getting Your Money’s Worth
The one thing that remains a constant for the insurance industry during the turbulent times in which we now live is competition. This was true before a slumping economy took center stage earlier in 2001, and it remains so after the catastrophic events of September 11th, which have only fueled further economic decline. Insurance carriers are in a more competitive market than at any time in history, as more banks and other financial services firms enter the marketplace, and are aggressively utilizing technology to stay a step ahead of rivals. Insurance & Technology's 2001 State of the Industry Report, "Getting Your Money's Worth," examines companies, technologies and trends to watch in 2002, including the increased focus on technology ROI, and technology in four major insurance categories. While this report is not meant to provide a complete listing of all technology providers and all technologies, it does provide a birds-eye view of the role technology will play in tomorrow's challenging marketplace.
