Great American Promotes Jeff Kohl to SVP, IT Infrastructure

Great American Insurance Group (Cincinnati) has promoted Jeff Kohl to divisional senior vice president, overseeing the Group's IT infrastructure. Kohl is responsible for creating and executing the infrastructure vision, which a company news release stresses as a key component of Great American's information technology strategy.

Kohl and his team have led efforts to transform the Great American infrastructure to one that provides a modern technology foundation and high level of service on both new and existing platforms, the news release says. Highlights of this success include the establishment of a new data center and disaster recovery site, consolidation of multiple data centers, virtualization of the growing server environment, implementation of a tiered storage environment, identity access management solutions, integration and consolidation of certain core services as well as corporate phone system upgrades, according to Great American. He has served as an IT professional operating in the property/casualty insurance business for more than two decades, taking on various management and leadership positions within the Great American. Kohl holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science/Mathematics from Xavier University.
