Guidewire Files for IPO
Core P&C insurance systems vendor Guidewire Software (San Mateo, Calif.) has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) relating to a proposed initial public offering of shares of its common stock, according to a company statement. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined.
J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Deutsche Bank Securities and Citigroup will act as joint book-running managers for the offering, and Stifel Nicolaus Weisel and Pacific Crest Securities will act as co-managers, according to the Guidewire statement.
Guidewire markets the ClaimsCenter, PolicyCenter and BillingCenter products. The vendor has over 90 customers, roughly half of which are in the over $1 billion direct written premium range. The vendor's website reports over 80 live implementations since 2004.
