London-based P&C holding company Beazley Group has selected Guidewire's (San Mateo, Calif.) ClaimCenter to support all phases of the claims process for all the carrier's lines of business worldwide, including executive liability; political and contingency risks; commercial property; marine and energy; reinsurance; and personal lines.
"ClaimCenter emerged as our clear choice following a thorough evaluation of our claims system options, which included building a system in-house," said Philippe Mazas, CIO, Beazley. "The strength and flexibility of ClaimCenter's web-based architecture will enable us to cost effectively scale and develop our business. Guidewire's proven track record of successful implementations gave us the confidence to move forward." ClaimCenter will serve as a single platform across all of Beazley's claims operations worldwide, helping Beazley's claims professionals to work closely with external services providers " law firms, adjusters, and other experts " to deliver a faster, better service to clients, according to a Guidewire source. "We see claims service as a major differentiator for Beazley," said David Marock, head of specialty lines and political contingency claims. "ClaimCenter's comprehensive functionality will allow us to continue to improve our claims service while gaining operational efficiencies. We look forward to the implementation of our ClaimCenter project, to the significant benefits the system will bring our business, and to the resulting service level improvements we will be able to deliver to our clients."
