Guidewire Software Names Marcus Ryu CEO
Guidewire Software (San Mateo, Calif.) has announce that co-founder Marcus Ryu has taken on the role of chief executive officer, responsible for day-to-day operations and the future direction of the company. Ryu succeeds John Raguin, who remains at the vendor in the capacity of vice president and executive advisor.
“We are in a great position today — recently finishing our best fiscal year ever — because of John’s leadership and perseverance,” Ryu comments. “All of us at Guidewire are deeply indebted to John’s service to the company and we wish him and his family the very best. I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to succeed him in leading this great team.”
“I have enjoyed my time as CEO immensely and congratulate Marcus on his new role,” says Raguin, also a Guidewire co-founder. “Guidewire has experienced rapid growth and has built a strong reputation in the P/C industry. I am very proud of the amazing things accomplished by Guidewire’s employees, partners and customers. Being based in California near company headquarters and having tremendous experience in all aspects of Guidewire’s operations, Marcus is the ideal leader for the company’s next phase of growth.”
