HANSEN PROMOTED AT THE REGENCE GROUP
Susan A. Hansen has been promoted to vice president of membership and claims systems consolidation at The Regence Group. Hansen is currently overseeing a systems consolidation project designed to improve customer service and reduce costs.
Recognizing Susan A. Hansen's work in what the company calls "one of the largest system-conversion projects in the US," The Regence Group (Portland, OR) has promoted her to vice president of membership and claims systems consolidation.
Since 1998, Hansen has been directing a "massive computer system conversion project" that will unite The Regence Group's operations throughout the four states in which the company has operations: Oregon, Washington, Utah and Idaho. Scheduled for completion in 2003, the initiative is designed to improve customer service and control administrative costs, according to Regence.
A 25-year veteran of Regence and its affiliate, Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon, Hansen has managed a variety of customer-membership and claims-related functions, while also directing the company's Regence Internet systems project designed to address the needs of physicians and other health-care providers.
According to Wayne Haddad, Regence CIO, "Sue's breadth of knowledge about our membership and claims systems is a competitive advantage to The Regence Group as we consolidate our systems."
