Insurance Australia Group Selects Guidewire for Claims Management
Insurance Australia Group (IAG, Sydney) will implement San Mateo, Calif.-based Guidewire's ClaimCenter to manage its claims.
IAG, which underwrites $7.8 billion in premiums, according to a statement, will begin deploying ClaimCenter with its CGU division. CGU is responsible for commercial, liability and personal insurance claims, managing on average 400,000 claims per year.
Among the goals of its implementation, the company hopes to eliminate manual processes with the platform, it says.
“We are very pleased to be working with a partner like Guidewire Software, as we focus on our strategic objective of driving operational efficiencies and improved customer service across our business," Neil Whiteing, group CIO for IAG, says in a statement.
Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Idaho deployed ClaimCenter in July to manage its personal lines claims. Guidewire released version 6.0 of the platform earlier this year.
